Her tan bikini blending wonderfully with the sand, Kate Walsh strolled down a Hawaiian shore with her husband, Alex Young, last week.
The newlyweds, who married Labor Day, spent Thanksgiving on the beaches of Maui, frolicking in the surf and walking the coast at sunset.
This just in: Kate Walsh is totally pregnant (with a TV show)!
When Extra asked the recently married 40-year-old actress the inevitable “when are you having a baby” question, Kate Walsh replied:
“Right now, my baby is Private Practice… she is beautiful, strong, and growing every week.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Extra then asked Kate Walsh, 40, if she was indeed pregnant, to which she joked: “I’m pregnant with triplets now and I feel really good!”
After a short courtship earlier this year, Kate Walsh and Alex Young, 35, a 20th Century Fox production executive, married in September in Ojai, Calif.
Walsh sat down with Extra this week on the set of Private Practice and, for the record, denied being pregnant in the literal sense, explaining:
“No… Both of us are pretty much working constantly and seeing each other whenever we can… that’s him, the pretty blond guy over there!”
Private Practice returns with an all-new episode tonight at 9.

Barack Obama, the Democratic Illinois Senator and presidential candidate, may be on a whirlwind, year-long tour of the country campaigning to be the nation’s chief executive, but he’s not completely out of the fall TV loop.
When he spotted avid supporter Kate Walsh at his October 20 fundraiser in Hancock Park, Calif., he went over to the redhead to talk about her new Grey’s Anatomy spin-off and bona fide hit, Private Practice.
“So great to see you!” Barack Obama said. “How’s the new show?”
“It’s going really well,” Kate Walsh replied.
The talented actress, 40, was there with her husband of nearly two months, 20th Century Fox production executive Alex Young. The couple first went public at a fundraiser for Barack Obama, 46.
As for Barack Obama’s diagnosis on Private Practice:
“I’m always out campaigning … I haven’t been able to watch it so I can’t give you a review,” he admitted, “but I’m sure it’s great.”
We happen to think he’s right!
Despite his busy schedule, Barack Obama will have plenty of opportunities to check out the series, as it was recently renewed for a full season!
Despite the trepidation that normally goes along with such an age milestone, Kate Walsh says she had no such angst about turning 40.
“Probably, honestly, I would have cared more if I were still single,” the Private Practice star says in the latest edition of Marie Claire.
“I have also been working through all the big things you grapple with as a female, such as family and fertility, a career. I feel I’m in a place of peace in my life that 40 feels like a great marker of a great year.”
Kate Walsh let actually the idea of marriage go - until she met Alex Young, 36, a co-president of film production at 20th Century Fox.
You could say they hit it off. Kate Walsh and Alex Young moved in together just a month later, got engaged in May, and were married by Labor Day.
“I met him, and I knew unequivocally,” Kate Walsh says. “Is that strange? I used to want to hit people who said, ‘You know when you know.’ It made me want to throw up. But I’m the annoying one now.”
The Private Practice star describes her new husband as “super-intelligent, super-smart, very handsome” and “a true gentleman.”

Not only does Kate Walsh have a brand new hit TV show in Private Practice, but she also has a brand new husband in Alex Young.
Her first weeks of marriage have thus been filled with lots of living, loving, learning… and picking up after their dog.
“There was this kind of funny moment, after we were like we’re married and all of the hoopla was over and we were like, ‘What do we do now?’” Kate Walsh told Ellen DeGeneres on her show Tuesday.
“We’re married. Alright, I guess we just live and love and learn from each other.”
The 39-year-old actress wed Alex Young, 36, a production co-president at 20th Century Fox, over Labor Day weekend in the town of Ojai north of Los Angeles.
The star tells DeGeneres that she’s been married for five weeks but soon corrected herself: “Actually five and a half weeks,” she says.
Ellen DeGeneres then complimented the former member of the Grey’s Anatomy cast on her wedding ring. Walsh couldn’t hide her excitement. “Thank you,” she said, giggling. “It was a gift from my husband.”
Newlyweds Kate Walsh and Alex Young strolled on their way to a University of Southern California football game at the L.A. Coliseum Saturday.
The 38-year-old Walsh wore a brown leather jacket and jeans, and carried a USC maroon and gold blanket. Good thing they were playing Stanford and not Kate’s alma mater and another Pac-10 rival, the University of Arizona!
With a handsome new husband and Private Practice doing well in the ratings so far, Kate Walsh has plenty to celebrate these days. Who cares if USC somehow lost to a team they were favored to beat by 41 points?
