Guest Stars News

The (Grant) Show Goes on to Private Practice

Grant Show is trading in a polyester suit for some circa-2008 scrubs.

The Swingtown stud has signed on to appear in an early Season 2 episode of Private Practice, Entertainment Weekly reports.

This guest star news comes the same week as Billy Dee Williams has agreed to appear on the Grey's Anatomy spin-off.

Grant Show

Grant Show's character, a charming and flirtatious doctor, has ties to a Private Practice regular. Hmm. Who could it be?

Very interesting, regardless. Any thoughts as to which Oceanside staffer may have a skeleton in his or her closet?

Billy Dee Williams to Appear on Private Practice

Billy Dee Williams will be joining the list of solid guest stars lined up for Season Two of Private Practice, TV Guide reports.

The Empire Strikes Back star will be playing “a very moving role” and will guest star as a patient of Dr. Sam Bennett (Taye Diggs).

This will be interesting to watch unfold. We are looking forward to finding out what else Shonda Rhimes and the Private Practice writers come up with regarding Williams' story line and the rest of Season 2.

Private Practice Spoilers: Addison's Man

Fans of Pete and Addison may not dig this particular Private Practice spoiler, but regardless, we're interested in seeing where it goes.

Guest star David Sutcliffe confirmed to TV Guide that will be back for 11 episodes to "woo Kate Walsh," a.k.a. Addison Montgomery.

Looks like David Sutcliffe will be a major fixture on Private Practice in Season 2. What surprises will his romantic relationship with Addison bring?

Classic Private Practice: Cooper's Speech in Court

Cooper gives testimony regarding Tess and her mother in the sixth episode of season one of Private Practice, entitled "In Which Charlotte Goes Down the Rabbit Hole." Paul Adelstein does a terrific job as Cooper, as he always does, showing both heart and strength of conviction.

"Some things... a kid should never have to take."

David Sutcliffe Coming to Private Practice

After trying to keep Gilmore Girls' Lorelai and Luke apart, this is gonna be a cakewalk for actor David Sutcliffe, according to TV Guide.

Several sources report that he is being added to the Private Practice cast as a love interest for none other than Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh).

Does this mean Addison and Pete Wilder (Tim Daly) might not be as flirty and hot for one another as the first few episodes have implied?

Don't expect things to go smoothly there, insiders say. But for Sutcliffe, at least, it ought to be a breeze. Whereas on Gilmore Girls, Lorelai and Luke had a legion of supporters, Private Practice's Addison and Pete have scarcely begun courting.

David Sutcliffe

Come what may, we're excited for the addition of the handsome David Sutcliffe to the cast, for however long or whatever capacity he is given on the series.

Brett Cullen to Guest Star on Private Practice

Texas-born actor Brett Cullen, whom you may remember as Goodwyn on ABC's Lost, Vanessa Williams' millionaire squeeze on Ugly Betty and Taylor Kitsch's alcoholic father on NBC's Friday Night Lights, continues his guest starring tour of high-profile shows with an appearance on Private Practice this fall.

Below is a photo of the actor filming scenes with Amy Brenneman on the set of Private Practice last week. Brett Cullen will appear in episode #5, which has just been completed. Private Practice premieres Wednesday!

It is not clear yet who Cullen will play on the series. Could it be the previous love interest of Brenneman's character, Violet Turner, who she broke up with only to watch him get engaged to someone else quickly?
