With each passing week, Season Two of Private Practice gets better and better.

Last night's episode was no exception. Addison laid down the Sex Rules, Pete got a visit from an old flame, Cooper showed that he can be a good doctor - and person - even with his questionable sex life, while Sam and Naomi vied for votes but ended up in a better place than they'd been in some time.

To put it simply, Private Practice's KaDee Strickland never saw it coming.

Yet here her stern Charlotte King is, falling into something ever-so-slightly resembling (gulp) love with Paul Adelstein's Cooper.

What's beneath the good doc's exterior? Strickland shared a peek at Charlotte's inner demons in an interview with TV Guide ...

TVGuide.com: First things first: Can you set the record straight on the Private Practice publicity stills? You're standing in front a wall of rocks, right? And not a wall of potatoes?

KaDee Strickland: That is true. [Laughs] But that's hilarious, it does look like a bunch of potatoes. You're not a liar.

TVGuide.com: It never dawned on me until we ran Chris Lowell's photo the other day and one of our readers pointed it out. "Why is he standing in front of potatoes?" (below)

KaDee Strickland: Because we're in hard times over there at Oceanside Wellness.... It was actually pretty beautiful, the set-up. Our pictures came out great, but I want you to know that you just ruined it for me. I'll never be the same again.

TVGuide.com: Charlotte seems a wee less shrill this season.

KaDee Strickland: Well, one can hope! After all, she's got somebody trying to steal her heart. And it's kinda looking like it's working some!

Addison treats a young Afghan girl who is trying to hide her past, while Cooper's interesting personal choices catch up with his professional life.

Last week, it was announced that Alexis Denisof and wife Alyson Hannigan (of How I Met Your Mother fame) were expecting their first child.

It turns out that's strangely appropriate for Denisof.

According to TV Guide, on the November 19 episode of ABC's Private Practice, the Buffy and Angel alum will guest-star as a father-to-be who comes to the Oceanside Wellness Center with a pregnant wife in tow.

That part is normal enough. But he then returns later, with a second expectant Mrs. in need of help from Addison. Talk about big love!
