Tonight, Private Practice returns with its sixth episode of the new season, entitled "In Which Charlotte Goes Down the Rabbit Hole." Charlotte (KaDee Strickland) can't sleep and turns to Pete for help. Addison and Naomi tend to a patient who wants something very personal concealed from her husband. Cooper continues struggling with his feelings for Violet. It should be good!

Tonight on Private Practice, Dr. Charlotte King is fed up with insomnia and decides to do something about it, while Cooper suspects foul play in his patient's case and Naomi finally goes on a date. And that's just the beginning.

This evening's "In Which Charlotte Goes Down the Rabbit Hole" begins with Charlotte - the bad-ass doc at St. Ambrose - turning to Pete Wilder, the alternative medicine "quack," hoping he can rid her of raging insomnia.

As she finally comes to grips with her divorce, Naomi begins to open herself to new people.

Naomi takes her first step to putting Sam Bennett behind her by agreeing to go out on her very first date since she was still in college.

Michael Ausiello of TV Guide chimes in on the rumor going around that Kelly Bishop was cast as Addison's mother on Private Practice. He writes:

"I hate you for getting my hopes up. I [talked to] my Private Practice moles, all of whom responded with a resounding, "False!" I should've known it was too good to be true ... particularly coming off my failed campaign to get K.B. on Gossip Girl. But at least one good thing came out of my ill-fated crusade: I got my hands on Bishop's personal e-mail address! Last week, the grande dame of Gilmore Girls sent me the nicest e-note thanking me for endorsement — and we've been exchanging e-mails ever since! I'm buddies with Emily Gilmore!"

Oh well. That would have been great. Here's hoping we get to learn more about the family life of Addison at some point in this Private Practice season.

In this clip from Wednesday's all-new Private Practice, "In Which Addison Goes Down the Rabbit Hole," a patient learns that she and her husband should be able to have children. Good news, right? Wrong. She then asks Addison and Naomi to conceal this from her husband by telling him he's sterile...

It's shaping up to be another great episode of Private Practice, now in its sixth week on ABC. Next week, the show takes a brief hiatus before returning November 14 with the all-new "In Which Sam Gets Taken For a Ride."

Private Practice returns with an all-new episode, "In Which Charlotte Goes Down the Rabbit Hole," this Wednesday, October 31, at its usual 9 p.m. time slot.

Last Wednesday on Private Practice, we went down to Ladytown, a place Addison had apparently never been before. She'd never gone to town solo style, if you know what we mean.

We mean Addison (Kate Walsh) had never paid herself lip service. She hadn't dialed the rotary phone. She didn't know how to do the two-finger taco tango!

High five! Okay, you get the point.

Addison claimed that this is because she's from Connecticut.

If that's true, that cross-legged state ought to declare Masturbation Mondays, or Jill-off July. They need to get somethin' going on there.

But by the end of "In Which Addison Finds a Showerhead," Addison and shower apparatus were about to get to know each other. Score one for SoCal!

Maybe this has been the problem for Dr. Addison Montgomery all along. She spent so much of her life getting degrees and world-class certifications that she has, well, neglected to go there. It's really quite something.

But let's go back to the beginning. The episode opened in an elevator in which Pete admits to Addison that he couldn't continue working with her — that her red hair, her face, her brain... were too hot for him to handle. Ding! It's a dream!

Doggone it: Private Practice star Taye Diggs and his wife, Idina Menzel, took their dog for a stroll in Beverly Hills October 24. Check out this cute pic ...

Taye Diggs has said that his small dog provided the inspiration for his character, Dr. Sam Bennett, also a smooth operating hottie who owns a petite pooch.

Regardless, we're just happy every time we come across pictures of Taye Diggs and wife. They really make a gorgeous, happy couple.
