The lovely Kate Walsh and her new fiance, Alex Young, took in the premiere of Knocked Up, starring Kate’s friend and former co-star, Katherine Heigl.

It’s been a big month for Kate Walsh.
The former Grey’s Anatomy and current Private Practice star and her 35-year-old Fox production executive boyfriend, Alex Young, announced last week that they are engaged.
The 39-year-old redhead revealed the surprising news during the ABC upfront presentation at New York’s Lincoln Center last Tuesday.
“It happened a few days ago. And that’s all I can say,” said Kate Walsh, beaming and flashing her Neil Lane engagement ring. “I’m on cloud nine.”
The news didn’t exactly come as a shock to at least one of her castmates.
“I’m upset because she didn’t consult me first!” Walsh’s new co-star, Tim Daly, told Us Weekly jokingly.
Walsh and Alex Young only recently went public with their whirlwind romance at a fundraiser for Barack Obama in Los Angeles. Earlier this year, Walsh said she was involved with a special man, but wouldn’t reveal his name.
ABC announced earlier this month that Walsh’s new show, Private Practice (the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off starring her character, Addison Montgomery), had been picked up for a full season and will air on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. in the fall.
While Tim Daly is excited about Private Practice, he can’t help but be a little skeptical. Why?
According to TV Guide, the last three series he’s been on — The Fugitive, Eyes, The Nine — all got nixed during their first seasons.
“I tend to approach everything with a healthy amount of optimism,” he told the magazine while hanging out at the Lucky Suite, where he picked up some Cosabella lingerie and True Religion jeans for his wife and daughter.
“I just don’t want to get my heart broken again. You just never know.”
Still, Private Practice is and will continue to be one of the most buzzed about shows this summer after its back-door pilot - embedded in a special two-hour episode of Grey’s Anatomy - drew 21 million viewers.
“We all figured it would do great since the pilot was included in a Grey’s Anatomy episode,” said Tim Daly. “But it’s really exciting.”
Meanwhile, Daly’s co-star Merrin Dungey, is a little more enthusiastic, at least about being cast on the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off.
“I actually screamed when I saw myself on next week’s clips,” Dungey said at ABC’s Upfront party. “It’s like being cast on your favorite show. I feel like I’m Mike TV from Willy Wonka.”
Earlier this month, ABC officially added Private Practice, the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off starring Kate Walsh, to its fall lineup.
